Life at BFA: Beyond the Numbers

At BFA, our passion for numbers is matched only by our commitment to community, wellbeing, and having fun together as a team. Life at BFA is about more than accounting - it’s about showing up for one another, supporting local causes, and making time to connect outside the office. From active challenges and sporting triumphs to charity events and delicious lunches, our team finds many ways to give back and grow together.

Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to so far in 2025.

Swing for Success

We were proud to sponsor a hole at the Swing for Success Golf Tournament at Taupō Golf Club - a fundraiser supporting the Lake City Basketball teams on their journey to the USA! With one of our own having a son in the team, it was extra special to be part of this effort. We sponsored a hole, and encouraged friends and supporters to get involved. A great day of Ambrose-style golf, team spirit, and community backing for some seriously talented young athletes!

BFA Bouncers: Champions on Court

A huge shoutout to our unstoppable netball team the BFA Bouncers! After an undefeated season, they clinched 1st place in their grade with a final win over The Mercs. Well done to everyone who played and a big thank you to those who cheered us on throughout the season. We’ll be back on court in October - see you then!

Move Over Cancer

In May, we laced up our sneakers and got behind the Move Over Cancer campaign in support of the Pinc & Steel Foundation . Through Lunchtime Move Week and the 5kms for 5 Days Challenge, our team walked, biked, stretched, and even paddled our way through the month, all while raising funds and awareness for cancer rehabilitation. We’re proud to back this important kaupapa and support our local friends at Zone Physio & Pilates who deliver these vital services in our community.

Cooking with Heart & supporting Bellyful Taupō

We joined forces with our friends at Korio for a heartfelt cooking session with Bellyful Taupō , helping prepare and pack meals for local families with newborns. It was a fun and meaningful couple of hours filled with laughter, teamwork, and aroha. Massive thanks to Rachel and the Bellyful team for all they do.

Want to help out too? Bellyful are always on the lookout for volunteers: bellyful.org.nz

Pink Ribbon Lunch

Our Pink Ribbon Lunch was a huge success - raising $1,324 in support of breast cancer awareness and research. The office was a sea of pink, and the afternoon was filled with laughter, raffles, and an extra sense of purpose. A beautiful way to honour those impacted and show the power of small acts for a big cause.

Teeing Off for Rural Support

We had a blast at the Charity Ambrose Golf Day supporting Rural Support and Lean on a Gate . It was more than just a great day out — it was about opening up conversations, checking in with mates, and supporting mental health in rural communities. Thank you to the organisers for the opportunity to be part of this important mahi.

A Pyjama Drive with Heart

We also pitched in to support the Kindness Collective’s Pyjama Drive, donating new PJs for children aged 0–16. Organised through MMC Law’s initiative on Facebook, this was a simple but powerful way to help local tamariki stay warm this winter.

Kim Manunui

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.

Collaboratively we are creative, share sustainable values and work hard for great outcomes because that’s the buzz of satisfaction that drives us.

If you have an audience and market to reach, we can make that happen. Creative design, words that work and smart behind the scenes stuff that cuts through the online noise. We’ll design your website and then build it. We’ll manage the content as well as all your hosting needs. We can handle your online advertising so you get noticed,
and we’ll manage your social media presence so you get the clicks, likes and engagement to grow your business. All within the budget you set, because none of this needs to cost the earth.  And the job doesn’t stop when your website goes live. We are your virtual business partner.
